Five Apps Every Entrepreneur Must Have

Posted by Media For a Changing World on October 2, 2016August 28, 2016

DocuSign

Okay, this is the Uber of utility apps.  It’s the most practical and makes the most sense.  It will help you sign documents on the go and fill out applications and forms.  This is one of the best danged apps I’ve ever had.  Don’t ask questions, just go download it now.  Download it now—now.  You can thank me later.  You’re welcomed.

Transit

This strange little app is a lover and a fighter if you are a frequent traveler in the US.  It will help you find almost any kind of transportation practically anywhere in the US.  And I mean everything from bike routs to discontinued bus lines.  And what is super great about this app is that its geo-location system works immediately without you having to indicate your location.  It will get you up to speed on everything rolling in your direction.

Outlook App

Yes, Windows now has a clunky new App to help you store all of those tried and true applications on your mobile phone.   While I’m not a total fan of Microsoft as an operating system, it has become the standard for American business.  So you might find having an Outlook app pretty handy.  What’s great about this App, is that not only does it forward your emails, it comes with the Outlook Calendar, Word Docs and Contacts.  Another cool aspect of the App is that if you use it with a Microsoft email account like, Live, Outlook or Hotmail the App will connect to your One Drive Account allowing you to download and upload documents to the Microsoft cloud. While it’s certainly no Google, you will find it a handy Application to have especially if you do business with Microsoft products.  It also makes it easier to open Word documents.

Western Union App

You want to pay someone, contractor, domestic or overseas.  Do it on your mobile phone.  That’s right, the Western Union App makes it easy and fast.  This is a handy little app that also cuts down on the price of money transfers and money wires because you’re doing business through your mobile phone.  I recommend it along with any other mobile money transfer app.  If you’re in East Africa, Sendwave is a great app to send money quickly too.  What’s great is that you don’t have to go into a Western Union location or log onto their site to transfer money.  It’s an easy couple of taps and your done!

Any Ride-share App

Be sure you have at least one ride-sharing app, you know like Didi, Uber, Lyft, CarToGo or a Taxi App.  It’s always a good idea just in case you’re on a business call and your car breaks down, you miss your connection, or your stranded.  You can send for the tow truck, but still be on your way in style to your business meeting.  Install one today.

Orwell Revisted: 3 Ways Tech Will Change the World

As always, the evil scientist laughing diabolically does not realize how his monster will one day wreck him.  He is too giddy about his temporary gains, blinded by the opportunity to finally matter and lord over those who dismissed him. It’s a great storyline, but increasingly a realistic one, where life imitates art. When Smart […]
